How to Withdraw Money from TikTok Shop: Step by Step
How to withdraw money from TikTok Shop: link your bank, check your balance in Seller Center Finance, and request a payout. Learn minimums and pending balances.
You withdraw money from TikTok Shop by linking a bank account in Seller Center, checking your available balance under Finance, and requesting a payout once the balance meets TikTok's current minimum. Payouts go to your bank, and the time depends on TikTok's schedule and your bank. I run TikTok Shops every day, so here is the step-by-step I follow.
What is a TikTok Shop payout?
A payout is the money TikTok Shop sends from your shop sales to your bank account. Settlement is the point where an order's funds move from pending to available. The available balance is what you can withdraw now. Pending and on-hold amounts are explained below.
How do I withdraw money from TikTok Shop?
These are the steps I follow in Seller Center. Menu names can move, so if a label differs, check TikTok Shop Seller University for the current path.
Step 1: Link a bank account
In Seller Center, open Finance, then Payment settings or Bank accounts. Click Add bank account and enter the account details exactly as they appear on your bank statement. TikTok Shop verifies the account, which can take a few days. Use a bank account in the same country and currency as your shop to avoid delays.
- Check the bank account is active and in the same country as your shop.
- Use the exact account holder name that matches your shop's legal name.
- If verification fails, re-enter the routing and account numbers carefully.
Step 2: Check your available balance
Before you try to withdraw, know the difference between balances. The available balance is money TikTok Shop has cleared and can send to you. Pending money comes from recent orders that have not settled. On-hold money is reserved for returns, disputes, or policy reviews. You can only withdraw the available balance.
- Available balance updates after orders settle.
- If a sale just happened, it will not be available yet.
- Some holds are automatic and release after a set period.
Step 3: Request a payout
If your available balance meets TikTok's current minimum, click Withdraw or Request payout. Choose the bank account, enter the amount or select full balance, and submit. If your balance is below the minimum, wait until more orders settle. TikTok Shop changes the minimum, so check the Finance page for the current number.
- Do not request a payout while a hold or dispute is open unless you are sure.
- The minimum payout changes, so check the Finance page.
- Some shops can set a payout schedule instead of manual requests.
Step 4: Wait for the money to arrive
TikTok Shop processes payouts on its own schedule, which can be daily, weekly, or another cycle depending on your shop settings. After TikTok sends the money, your bank adds its own clearing time, usually a few business days. You can track the payout status in Finance.
- Payout statuses may show Processing, Sent, or Completed.
- If a payout shows Failed, check your bank details and re-submit.
- Contact your bank if TikTok shows Sent but you see nothing after a few business days.
Before you withdraw, check what TikTok Shop already deducted in fees. My post TikTok Shop fees explained walks through each fee, and how to work out your real profit per order helps you see what is actually yours.
How long does a TikTok Shop payout take?
The timing has two parts: TikTok Shop's processing time and your bank's clearing time. TikTok Shop processes payouts in batches based on your settlement cycle, which can be set to daily, weekly, or another schedule in Finance. After TikTok Shop marks the payout as sent, your bank may take one or more business days to show the money in your account.
| Step | What happens | Typical timing (check Finance for current cycle) |
|---|---|---|
| Payout request | You submit the withdrawal in Finance | Immediate, if balance above minimum |
| Processing | TikTok Shop verifies and batches the payout | Varies by shop settings |
| Sent | Money leaves TikTok Shop to your bank | Shown as Sent in Finance |
| Arrival | Bank credits your account | A few business days after it is sent |
Where do I find my TikTok Shop balance?
Your TikTok Shop balance lives in Seller Center under Finance, often labeled Balance, Payouts, or Settlement depending on the current menu. The Finance page also shows your transaction history, so you can see each order's settlement date and any deductions.
| Balance type | What it shows | Do you use it for withdrawal? |
|---|---|---|
| Available or withdrawable balance | Money cleared and ready to send to your bank | Yes, this is what you request |
| Pending or unsettled | Recent orders not yet eligible for payout | No, wait until it moves to available |
| On hold or reserved | Funds held for returns, disputes, or policy review | No, check why it is held |
| Total account balance | Sum of all above, not all withdrawable | No, use available only |
Why is my TikTok Shop payout not available yet?
The most common reasons are that your available balance is below the current minimum, your bank account is not verified, recent orders are still pending, or TikTok Shop has placed a hold on part of your funds.
| Item | What to check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum balance met? | Current minimum in Finance | Wait for more sales or settle orders |
| Bank account verified? | Payment settings shows status | Re-enter or verify the account |
| Orders settled? | Pending orders not counted | Wait for settlement |
| Any holds or disputes? | Finance shows holds | Review and resolve |
| Correct payout method? | Active bank on file | Add a new bank if the old one closed |
If none of these fix it, open a support ticket in Seller Center. Include your shop ID, payout date, and screenshots of the Finance page. TikTok Shop Seller University has the current policy for holds and payout cycles.
What is my honest take on TikTok Shop payouts?
My honest take is that payouts are simple once your bank account is verified and you understand the difference between available and pending money. The biggest mistakes I see are sellers trying to withdraw while funds are still pending or ignoring an on-hold notice. Check your Finance page once a week and only request the available balance. Before you withdraw, run my free TikTok Shop profit calculator to see how much of each order is actually profit, so you know what to expect in your bank.
If you have a specific payout issue, ask in the chat on this site. Tell me your shop region, what you see under Finance, and what you already tried. It is free, and I will answer from what I run into in Seller Center.
