TikTok Shop Eases Coin and Money Collectible Requirements

TikTok Shop updated collectibles rules as of the latest policy update. Sellers listing coins or money: ungraded items now have clear rules, and graded non-circulating US coins no longer need a 3.5 SPS or 150 AHR. Check your listings against the new condition and disclosure rules this week.

What changed

• Graded non-circulating US coins and paper money no longer need a Shop Performance Score of 3.5 or higher, an Account Health Rating above 150, or a specific graded product image.
• Ungraded coins and money now must follow clear listing rules: mark as ungraded or raw, use actual photos, state non-circulating, and avoid any numeric grade.
• The prohibited list no longer includes non-U.S. monetary items with legal tender status, so some foreign legal tender may now be sellable if non-circulating.
• TikTok Shop renamed Coins and Currency to Coins and Money and split Entertainment Collectibles into its own category.

What I would do this week

• Audit your coin and money listings for the new ungraded item rules: remove numeric grades and stock photos unless the item is graded.
• If you sell graded non-circulating US coins, you can list them without the old SPS and AHR hurdles, but check the condition and disclosure rules.
• Review any foreign coins or money you sell: non-circulating items may now be allowed if they meet the other requirements.
• Update your listings to use the condition attribute where required.

My honest take: Removing the SPS and AHR thresholds lowers the barrier for smaller sellers. But the new ungraded coin rules add more listing work. I would update coin listings now to avoid enforcement. The foreign legal tender change opens a small niche.
