How to set up automatic chat greetings on TikTok Shop

To set up chat greetings on TikTok Shop, click Customer messages in the Seller Center top bar, open Chatbot under AI tools, then click Greetings (with FAQ). Switch Status on, check the Schedule and that it activates when customers initiate chat, read the welcome Message content, and use the link to the FAQ library to change the FAQs.

02In the left menu, under Automation tools, click Greetings (with FAQ).
03Under Status, switch the greeting on. The page says it greets customers when they start a chat.
04Under Schedule I see Always-on. Check it fits when you want the greeting sent.
05Activates when shows Customers initiate chat. The greeting goes out as soon as a buyer opens a chat.
06Message content is the welcome line buyers read first. Keep it friendly and short.

Write the greeting like a person: say hello and say what you can help with.
Do not promise reply times in the greeting unless you can keep them.
If the page shows a permission notice, ask the account admin to enable automation tools.
Keep the FAQs behind the greeting current, since buyers tap those first.
