How to reach past buyers on TikTok Shop

What you need first

• Customers who bought before
• A message idea (a new product, a reminder or a coupon)
• A coupon you can afford, if you want to offer one

Every step, written out

1. 01In the left menu, click Shop.
2. 02Under Shop, click Customers. It opens the Overview tab.
3. 03Segments holds ready-made audiences, such as recent, repeat and lapsed customers. You can also build your own.
4. 04Open the Outreach tab. This is where messages are set up.
5. 05Click Create chat plans. Create email plans sits next to it.
6. 06Lapsed customers are buyers who have not bought in the last 30 days. They are my first audience.
7. 07Click Create now to build a one-time plan from the template. Check the message and coupon, then confirm.
8. 08After the plan runs, open Manage outreach plans to see how it did.
9. 09Read rate shows how many people opened your message. GMV and Orders show what came back.

• →Start with one plan and one audience. Read the results, then add the next.
• →Keep the message short and name the reason to come back, such as a new product or a price drop.
• →Automated plans, like abandoned cart reminders, run on their own once enabled. Check them from the same page.

Seller University defines it as someone with at least one purchase in the past 365 days and none in the last 30 days.
